Our fibres

TenCate Grass Components offers a wide range of synthetic turf fibres designed specifically for different sports and landscaping purposes. The appearance and texture of artificial grass depend on the type of synthetic fibres used in the top layers and rootzone. These fibres are crucial for creating a system that meets the desired performance standards. Having high-quality synthetic fibres is important for a good-looking and durable surface. Our fibres can vary in colour, thickness, cross sections, texturizing, and filament ends depending on the customer's needs.

Straight monofilament fibres

Our straight monofilament fibres are either designed for sports (Monoslide® range) or landscaping (Oasis® range). Monofilaments are extruded filaments of which the cross-section (fibre shape) may vary. The design of the fibre and thus the shape, play an important role in the performance characteristics and look & feel of the ultimate synthetic turf surface.

Straight fibrillated tape

Our fibrillated tapes are branded under the Tapeslide® range and made from various raw materials.
Fibrillated tapes are, unlike monofilaments, produced by foil extrusion. The foil is slit into tapes, that ultimately are fibrillated with a specific pattern that helps the fibre to open up after installation.

Texturized monofilament fibres

TenCate can texturize straight filaments to create curly fibres with varying bulk densities. High bulk fibres are used for rootzones and face fibres, while lower bulk fibres offer a more natural look. TenCate has also developed products that combine texturized and straight monofilaments, creating unique combinations of colors and shapes. Available in the Monoslide®  range and the Oasis® range.

Knit-de-Knit fibres

Knit-de-Knit fibres are curled fibres, but unlike texturized fibres, they have a very consistent texture. The consistent curl makes the fibres especially suitable for applications that require a smooth and even surface. This is particularly advantageous when aiming to enhance ball predictability and behaviour.
